Safe, agile and versatile on trekking bikes: The Schwalbe MARATHON AlmotionThe MARATHON Almotion is our benchmark for touring tires. The sporty member of the MARATHON family is the foldable PRO version designed to meet the highest standards as an affordable clincher tire. A universal, extra-light companion for touring and travel. Its new tread lives up to these standards, offering a smooth ride and many miles on the road. The MARATHON Almotion combines ultimate riding performance with increased puncture protection.Puncture protection and payloadThe V-Guard puncture-resistant belt on the MARATHON PRO Almotion gives the highest puncture protection at low weight. The puncture and tear-resistant, yet lightweight protective layer offers the optimal balance of performance and protection making it the ideal tire for your lightweight, fast trekking bike. With its “Race-PRO” construction, the MARATHON PRO Almotion combines minimal rolling resistance and high load capacity.New tread patternWe have developed a completely new tread pattern for the MARATHON Almotion. Its modern, solid center profile ensures smooth operation and a long service life. The grippy outer blocks ensure traction in wet weather and high functionality in particular away from asphalt roads.ADDIX Race: Fair and fastThe MARATHON Almotion PRO comes with ADDIX Race compound for maximum smoothness and speed. We originally developed the compound for high-end racing bike tires and is proven on the wheels of the pros. Along with incredibly low rolling resistance, ADDIX Race delivers outstanding grip and control on the road. We make our PRO tires with fair-trade natural rubber (Fair Rubber).TubelessThe MARATHON Almotion PRO is a folding tire and tubeless ready (TLR). This allows you to ride with low tire pressure for better traction and low rolling resistance. At the same time, the puncture protection is greater: With tubeless tires, you’re better protected from punctures and the sealant seals small holes on the go. For successful assembly with sealant like our Doc Blue, make sure the rims and rim tape are also tubeless compatible! The MARATHON Almotion PRO also has E-50 certification for S-pedelecs with a maximum total weight of 150 kilograms and features a white reflective strip on the side wall.
