Turnaround Time
We love same day servicing, and are happy to accommodate your needs where we can.
Generally, unless previously agreed, we aim for a 24-hour turnaround, parts and additional work pending.
If you have an appointment and need your bike finished within a set timeframe, please let us know when you drop it off. We can usually make this work, and will figure it out with you in person.
Quotes and Estimates
We aim to accurately quote a price when your bike is dropped off. If we can’t do this straight away, we’ll assess it as soon as possible and get in touch.
Our general margin for error is 10% — that is, if the final bill is likely to be more than 10% above the quote, we will get in touch with you for approval before proceeding.
Bike storage
We’re a small shop, so we appreciate you picking up your completed bike as soon as you can.
Generally, any completed bike left longer than 4 weeks without prior approval will attract a $20 per week storage fee.
E-bikes & Batteries
For safety and insurance reasons, we have strict limits around e-bike batteries in the workshop.
If you have any questions about this policy, please get in touch with us.
- We do not offer battery storage, battery charging, battery rebuilding, or battery disposal
- Batteries are only accepted for the minimum practical time when genuinely required for electrical diagnosis, testing, setup, or handover
- Batteries must be removed from the premises as soon as the job allows, and are generally not permitted to stay onsite overnight
- We may refuse to accept any e-bike or battery at our discretion
- We generally cannot accept e-bikes where the battery cannot be removed
- Batteries for conversion kits may pass through the store as part of a sale or installation, but we do not keep them onsite as long-term stock
Please do not bring an e-bike battery into the workshop unless we have specifically asked for it.
Batteries generally cannot be left with us overnight and will need to be collected before close of business.
A few examples
-
Flat tyre on an e-bike with a removable battery: we can generally do the repair (see below for accepted bikes), but you’ll need to take the battery with you unless we specifically need it.
-
General service or electrical repair (such as firmware updates or electrical diagnosis): we can keep it while servicing the bike, but it will need to be collected before close of business.
-
E-bike with a non-removable battery for any repair: we generally cannot accept these, as the battery cannot be separated from the bike while it is onsite.
What kind of e-bikes do we work on?
As a general guide, we work on e-bikes that are essentially bicycles with electric assistance. We generally do not work on e-mopeds, e-scooters, or e-motorbikes.
